My heart goes out to all the Zesigers on this loss. I was stunned when I heard about his passing at my mother's celebration Sunday (I stopped taking the Daily Olympian ...). I couldn't believe that Wally would ever die! He was a great man, a great teacher, a great scout leader, and a humble man. I have so many fond memories of his laugh, his stern admonishment look, and his amazing grip - on some many levels.
I just know that he, along with Daryl Crose and my Dad (Bob Ziegler) are raising cain in Heaven .... one 50 miler at a time. Heck, they're probably arguing over who grew their beard the fastest!
Blessings on your family during this time of grief and loss.

Dear Marg and Family: I can't tell you how sorry I was to learn of Wally's passing. You have all been such dear friends over the years and I really miss the fun we use to have when we were all together. I always enjoyed listening to Wally and Jay and hear of their adventures, including the trip back to Staircase at Cushman Lake to retrieve the refreshments they had buried there several years before. Wally's knowledge on so many subjects made him a wonderful and interesting conversationalist. Wally will be sorely missed. Blessings and love to you, Marg, and your family.

Bradley revered Wally as a friend, mentor and source of endless knowledge about their mutual passion, gun collecting. When the phone rang, I always enjoyed a chuckle with Wally before passing it over; listening to those exited conversations over a particular find was endearing. The relationships behind those memories are priceless. Marg, Les, Sherry & Seth, our hearts go out to you. While he is at rest, he will also be greatly missed, Love, Robin and Bradley

We send our deepest sympathy to Marg and your family. We want you to know how much we enjoyed knowing Wally and how much we enjoyed having him as one of our employee's when we had J. P. Welding. We have wonderful and good memories of him. He was a very special man. We always think about him when we drive past the residence out of Rainier that has the gate he fabricated when he worked for us. He was so talented. We do regret that we are unable to attend his memorial service and wish the best for you Marg. Take care and God bless.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I haven't seen or talked to any of you in years but think of you often.
Wally is going to be dearly missed by all who knew him. I remember my dad (Frank) and I used to come over to the house and go fishing off your dock. Lots of great memories at your house.
Wally had a great sense of humor and would always make me laugh.
You all will be in my prayers as you go through the weeks and months ahead. God be with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. In February, we also experienced the loss of our Father. My brother Ron and I were reminiscing about our childhood and the Zesiger family name came up as Mr. Zesiger was his scout leader. I had to break the news to Ron just last night, and it was just today that I learned that both Mr. Zesiger and my father had both served in the Navy, and on the same ship no less! My prayers are with you and your family now and in the future.God Bless you!
