To: Janis, Judy, James, Keith and Kathleen, and their families
We were so saddened and shocked to read of David's tragic and sudden death. We treasure the memories we have of Dave and Janis, their children, his parents and in-laws, and siblings. Unfortunately, previous committments keep us from attending his memorial service. We would love to give you all a hug and join in both sorrowing over your loss and celebrating his being with his Lord and Savior and family members. God's grace and peace be with you all.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss of this wonderful man from your life. But we have the Lord's incredible promise of reuniting with our loved ones on the day that we go to be with Him too, so this is not a forever parting, for which we can thank our Saviour. Isn't it wonderful that the Lord gave the two of you so many happy years together here before Dave's home-going? Such a blessing. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, Lexi, and the rest of your family during this time of such great loss, and we know that the Lord is comforting you with His great compassion.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am traveling full-time with my husband when I read the Daily Olympian's death notices (on-line). David and I lived in the same neighborhood and went from grade school through high school together. I can say I had a friend in David. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.
