Obituary of Lisa V. Whiteman

Lisa V. Whiteman Lisa V. Whiteman, our sweet angel was born June 10, 1969 in Tacoma WA. She passed away March 4, 2009 unexpectedly at home from natural causes. At the age of 1 month she joined the family of foster mother Gertie Grate (deceased) and spent the rest of her life in the Grate family. She is survived by her sisters Karen Grate-Price (Don) Olympia, Shirley Owen (Bill) Stittville NY, Sandy Mounts Bellville TX, brothers Bob Grate (Kim) Citrus Heights CA, Mike Grate (Linda) Tumwater, Don Grate (Gayle) Olympia and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers. She started special education in the Olympia School District at the age of three months and continued through finishing the Capitol High School Willows Program at age 21. She loved going to work and worked at Morningside since 1993, the last few years at Fastenal’s. She touched the hearts of all who were blessed enough to have known her, her passing leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled. She blessed us all with unconditional love and always had a smile on her face and was always happy. She loved being around people, shopping, and her cat Ms. Kitty, good food, music, especially Elton John, she was his number one fan. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to Morningside, P O Box 7936 Olympia WA 98507. Lisa has completed her journey and now it’s time to celebrate her life.
