Obituary of Ray James Wallace IV

Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Olympia. Ray James “Wally” Wallace IV Wallly Wallace, 48, passed away May 13, 2012 in Olympia, Washington. He was born September 21, 1963 in Springfield, Illinois, to Jim and Laura (Kincaid) Wallace. He graduated from Pontiac Township High School in 1981, and married Holly Diane Knapp on September 17, 1983 in Othello, Washington. Wally served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 2009 where he participated in the Gulf War, Enduring Freedom, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom. After retiring from military service, he became a captain for Skywest Airlines. He loved flying, fishing, practical jokes, golf, and pool. He is survived by his wife, Holly Wallace of Olympia; parents, Jim and Laura Wallace of Pontiac, Illinois; and brother, Bill (Kathy) Wallace of Peoria, Illinois. A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church; graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
