Dorothy--My thoughts are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time. When I heard of Jim's passing, I had a flood of memories from our time at SLHS. I remember you both with fondness and will always respect both of you for your professionalism and skills. Traveling with the band to Victoria one spring allowed me to see Jim in a more relaxed (although chaotic!) setting. I remember him climbing on things to get just the right picture as the band marched down the street. I was so happy to hear that the two of you had joined forces after retirement. May your happy years together comfort you. With sympathy, Kim

Dorothy,
We were so sorry to hear about Jim. We wish we could be there to attend the memorial celebration, but our grandson is graduating from high school this week and has his Baccalaureate at the same time today.
Jim was a kind, thoughtful man with great personal integrity. We both have fond memories of our times together at Shoreline High School. Jim always put the needs of kids first and we both admired him for his high professional standards.
We still smile about the two of you getting together over 25 years ago! We know that you shared many wonderful, fun-filled years. You brought liveliness and sunshine into Jim’s life and hopefully your memories will help you through this difficult time.
Our Sympathy and Prayers,
Bob and Maureen

We are so sorry for your loss of Jim. We have heard many stories about your adventures with Phil and the "other Dorothy Wahlstrom". Our "Dot" loved the times they spent with you and Jim on your vacation adventures, especially your "bare-boating" trip. Also, she was a fanatic for your garden. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We hope you will find strength in the many fun things you shared with Jim & your many friends and the memories that you have of wonderful times together. Our love, Linda and Harry Brown (son of Dorothy Wight-Brown-Wahlstrom).

Jim,
Even though I only met you once - I can see the huge impact that you made on so many people around you. You are already sorely missed but you leave a ton of great memories.

I loved Uncle Jim and had so many good times from playing cribbage to sailing and lots of quality time in the garden. I still miss those raspberries! The year we lived at the Lake Forest Park house was one of the best of my whole childhood. Dorothy, I wish you peace and strength during this difficult time. You were the light of his life. Amy

I have fond childhood memories of a wonderful man who was always smiling. (especially with Dorothy) I wish we could have lived closer to each other. May God bless you as you have blessed others. You will be missed.

Thanks Uncle Jim, for all the fun times sailing around the San Juans (and for not yelling at us when we broke your flagpole, while trying to get in the dinghy... and I ended up going into the Sound). You were a really nice man and a great uncle - game enough to play the "Mickey Mouse" game with your three young nieces. Thanks for all the good times. I'll miss you. Wishing you good sailing.

What a wonderful, adventurous, fun loving life! I will remember all the laughs we had, the games we played, the trips sailing around the San Juans, all the gardening advice and so much more. I will miss you Uncle Jim.
