Leota, Sylvia and Famiy
Sylvan will be missed by all who knew him. We especially will miss our best friend and neighbor but are comforted by the memories of the special person he was.
Some special memories include:
His actions and expression of love for his family and how proud he was of them.
Being there for Leota.
Always ready and willing to help us and others.
The many stories of his family, life, friends, events, activities, travels and talking about the "olden days".
His wry smile and "Weeel" when he didn't approve of something.
Vacuuming his rocks and leaves from the trees and clipping grass.
Always busy but never too busy to visit or play with a friend.
We still turn around expecting to see him out in the yard or knocking on the door for a visit.
We will miss him but he will remain in our hearts forever and we are greatful for having known him.
His was a life well lived.

Uncle Sylvan always referred to himself as "My oldest cousin" and we'd laugh--I will miss that little joke and his other story he always told me of how upset he was when my Dad announced he was marrying my Mother because he wa sure he'd no longer have a hunting partner if Daddy was married but that turned out not to be true. They had many good times hunting together. We will miss our summer visits with he and Leota and we are sorry we are so far away in the winter. We love you Leota and hope we can return to Wa. this summer to visit.

I have such fond memories of spending time at the Sonne's as a child. Leota and Sylvan have always made me feel like one of their own. The Sonne family has a very special place in my heart and I will miss Sylvan very much.

Even though you weren't my uncle by blood, you were my uncle. I loved you very much and will miss you so much. I will always remember the story of asking if you could come out to play with me when we lived on Tullis. And the story of being squashed when crossing the street. You could always make me laugh. Aunt Leota, I love you and I'm so sorry you have lost Uncle Sylvan.

Our deepest sympathy to Mr. Sonne's family. He will be missed.
My daughter's Rachel and Caitlin Miles, wept at the news of Mr. Sonne's passing. They remembered the years of living next door to the Sonnes on Long Lake and of their attendance in their lives.
Mr. Sonne had a sweet spirit and was always good for a story or a laugh.
Our hearts go out to Mrs. Sonne and the family.
We will miss you Mr. Sonne and we love you.
