JoAnne was my very first supervisor with the state. She hired me "on the spot" and I began my 21-year career with DOL in May 1984 in Driver Services. I will always be grateful to her for that. JoAnne was intimidating to me at first, but after I got to know her better, I learned that she was a very compassionate, caring lady. She was also very smart. She did know how to dress!!! My respects to JoAnne and family.

Why God takes GOOD people like Joanne and lets people who are nothing but trouble makers live, is beyond me.
I guess HE has HIS reasons.

Joanne was my friend first, a boss second. During our friendship I worked for her, were were peers and I was her boss. We went full circle. Joanne and I enjoyed many happy times. We went shopping together, out to dinner together, both loved jewelry, swapping stories and having each other to lean on in tough times. I will truly miss Joanne. My deepest condolences go out to you Ted, Sam, Jim, Ferrill, Angela and their families. May God comfort you as you transition through this difficult time and may it help to know that others are sharing in your sadness.

Dear Ted and Family
We want to let you know what a special person Aunt Joanne was to us. We will always remember her as being a very honest person. She always looked like a million bucks and was one CLASSY LADY.
We will miss our breakfasts together with her and Ted. You are all in our prayers. We love you all.

JoAnne was my boss in the medical section at the Department of Licensing. She was actually more than a boss but a true friend. She was caring and always asked how my family was doing. I enjoyed her compassion for her job as well as her friendship. I always looked forward to seeing what new outfit she was going to wear and the jewelry that would match. We always enjoyed and were envious watching Ted spoil her with all the bouquets of flowers. She will truly be missed and was loved by all. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this sad time. Thank you for sharing her at the Department of Licensing. God Bless

I've worked with and known JoAnne for over 20 years. She was a good supervisor, excellent co-worker and a wonderful person to know. I will miss running into her at Fred Meyers and Top Foods. She always made me laugh. May the Lord be with her. May we go in peace. Peace be with you...
