Godspeed Brother Pat. Thank you for all the fond memories we all shared growing up in the mid 70’s there @ your townhouse off of Gessner in SW Houston. I spent many a happy evening always enjoying whatever you happened to be grilling. I can still see that white AMC Rebel or Brother Tom’s Corrolla parked out front. That always meant SOMEBODY’s home, so I might as well invite myself over. Not only was Brother Pat like a surrogate Dad to his youngest brother and sister Mike and Mary, but he and Nancy always dished out good advice to me, too. I cherish my memories and time well spent with the Mackin clan.

Dear Nancy and Elaine,
I would give anything to be there for Paddy’s Memorial Service, but as you probably know, my health will not allow. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and close to my heart.
Much love,
Marty

We are devastated to learn of Pat’s departure from this world. He was ever kind and generous, and the world is better because of his presence. Holding you all in our hearts.k

I only met Paddy online. He was a great friend and artist. I was close to him one time in Seattle and I wish we had been able to connect personally. His love for family, nature, art and photography will live on.

I never had the opportunity to meet Paddy personally, but sure enjoyed his friendship on EONS and later on Facebook. We shared many comments and stories about photography, grilling and most recently Native American flute playing. And a few long distance toasts of Yukon Jack.

Paddy…although we never met, you were a great online friend. I always enjoyed your photography and digital painting, and your accounts of your trips with the Trail Boss and your family and friends. I miss your humor but I know you are raising a toddy with the souls who rode out ahead and blazed the trail for you. Tucking the memories in my saddlebag…namaste my friend.
