Obituary of Myrna J. Routh

Myrna Jean Routh, 68, of Lacey, Washington, died Wednesday July 11, 2007 from lung cancer. Myrna was born August 28, 1938 in Duluth, Minnesota to Elroy and Eileen (Liden) Gauthier.Myrna was a 1958 graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth. On March 5, 1960 also in Duluth, she married Ronald Routh, who survives. They lived in Bothell, Washington for 22 years before moving to Lacey. Myrna had worked as a counselor for the mentally retarded at Fircrest Home for 15 years in Shoreline, Washington. She later worked 10 years for Custom Industries. Myrna’s interests included traveling, fishing, RV camping and casinos. She especially loved her Siamese cats and spending time with her husband. Survivors in addition to her husband include one son, Kirk Routh, Arlington, WA; three daughters, Kimberly Routh, Elma, WA, Kelly Williams, Seattle, WA, Karen Landry, Marysville, WA; one brother, Dale Gauthier (Jackie), Duluth, MN; a sister-in-law Karen Gauthier, Esko, MN; also sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A brother, Elroy Gauthier Jr. and her sister, Lynn Perry preceded her in death. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Myrna was a loving wife and mother. The devotion she showed to her husband and soul mate is a gift her children adored. Heaven will receive a wonderful mother, her children and husband will see her again.
