My heart felt condolancese to you and your family in your loss. I knew Mark when he was here at Stafford Creek Corrections Center. He was always giving me well wishes for a job well done. He was an insperation to me for helping others. He always had a good word to say about most people that he worked with. When he left here and took another position at HQ I was sad to see him go. I did wish him well in all that he did and I have always wished that I could have gone to HQ along with those that left in the same time that he did. I am sad that he is gone and I will always think of him as the great man he was and will always be in my heart.
With great regards to a GREAT MAN.
He will be missed.
Always,
Ronnie L. Sauer, OAS3, Training Department, SCCC

Jill and family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Jill, I know how much you loved Mark and always stood by his side while he battled cancer. It was a difficult time for both of you and this must be even worse for you.
Words just don't seem to be enough, but I hope they offer some comfort. You are loved and have many friends. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

My most sincere condolences to my dear cousin Mary Alice Zambolis, her son Aaron and wife Effie, daughters Jenny and Tracy. Mark was a very fine man and I was very fond of him. I always admired him for his courage and intelligence. He was always nice to me and made me feel at home. Though I only knew him early on in my life, I always liked him.
One of fondest memories of Mark was when I visited for an extended stay in Laurel Md. when Jennifer was born. It was there that I caught a glimpse of his day-to-day activity and formulated my respect for a man of principal. He worked two jobs to make ends meet and still had time for family activity.
The one thing that sticks in my mind was that he found both Ronnie and I work at Gordon’s Service Station pumping gas. I still feel bad about the unfortunate incident where Mary came into the station and Aaron jumped out of the car and I had to run to pull him to safety on the fuel island. Mr. Singer started hollering at me to get back to pumping gas and we had a disagreement. The reason I felt bad was the fact that Mark worked there too and had the same argument with the owner and ended up quitting the job because the owner put his customers before the safety of a child.
My Mark Rest In Peace, Amen...

I was shocked and saddened to read of Mark's passing. I had left the Elks and so lost contact with Mark and you, Jill. I will always treasure both of you in helping me when I headed the Elks Veterans
Responsibility. Mark tried to keep me from demitting, and in some ways, I'm sorry I did. My heart and prayers are with you both. God Bless!
