Obituary of Shirley E. Rasmussen

None Shirley E. Rasmussen was born April 27, 1933 to Otto J. Lendt and Lily Briggs in Buffalo, New York. She passed away peacefully on July 11, 2006 after a 15 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the loving wife of Albert L. (Roy) Rasmussen for 53 years, mother of sons, Mark (Amanda), of West Linn, Oregon, Craig, Scott (Sonya), of Meridian, Idaho; daughter, Welda (Chuck) Jolley, of University Place; and grandmother of 13. She also leaves her sister, Welda Lendt, of Provo, Utah, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by son, Craig, age 22 while he was serving in the United States Navy. Grateful thanks to the staffs of the Retirement Chalet, Rochester and the Hampton Alzheimer Center, Tumwater for their 6 years of excellent, compassionate care.
