I think of you often dad. I want to pick the phone up many times and call you to invite you over to celebrate many of life's joys and milestones. It is in those moments I get to enjoy memories of living life with you dad. Those moments bring back glimpses of life with you and mom. From all the joys life brings to the hard truths that are also a part of life. All the values that you and mom instilled in me. Thank you for giving me life. I love you dad, give mom a big hug and let her know how deeply I miss her and I am so sad she needed to leave this earth so early in her life.

What a great father, he was. He taught me so much about life without me even realizing. In his quiet ways, he allowed me to be me. Never judging the choices I made but always there to catch me if they turned out to be wrong and celebrate with me when they were right. I thought he would always be there no matter what. It has taken me, as I am sure others, by suprise to have the stability of our lives taken away. Many know about his car accident, It turned out to be a blessing in Disguise as each time after that...the hugs were tighter and lasted longer. I love you Dad

I first met Mr. Potts when I student taught at Tumwater Hill Elementary. He was very nice and friendly. He also said kind words about being a teacher. I really appreciated that! I then had the pleasure to see him several more times through the years at Peter G. Schmidt, including Thursday and Friday of last week. I'll never forgot how helpful he was or what a gentleman he was. I so appreciate that he spent his retirement years coming into our schools and helping out the students and staff. We really liked it when he was in our building. We knew things were going to be taken care of very well! He is going to be sorely missed.
