Obituary of Dennis D. Norton

Dennis Dee Norton Born: October 21st, 1944 Passed: February 8th, 2007 Dennis D. Norton was born October 21st, 1944 in Olympia where he resided most of his life. He was born to Raymond Norton and Wilma Abshire who preceded him in death. Dennis grew up with his older brother Glen, his two sisters, Vanessa and Judy, and his younger brother Dean. Love and family were his highest values. Dennis graduated North Thurston High School and attended Centralia College. He also served in the United States Marine Corp and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Dennis raised three boys with his first wife, Linda. David Norton who’s daughter’s name is Andrea. Elijah, married to Tracey, who’s three children are Amanda, Gabriel and Michael. And Daniel, married to Karen, who’s four children are Katia, Kyla, Rylan and Rock. On January 13, 1995 Dennis married Diane Puett whom he truly loved. Together they raised a son, Brian who is engaged to Andrea. They also raised her daughter, Amber. Dennis was a loving husband and a wise father. Dennis was a Purchasing Manager for the Washington State Department of Transportation. At his retirement party he was recognized for the great impact he made in the 28 years he was there. Diane has two sisters, Carol who is married to Robert, and Pat who is married to Harlin. Dennis enjoyed fishing with Robert and loved the company of everyone he called family. Dennis enjoyed wood working and was a part of a wood turners club. His brother in law, Harlin, was instrumental in helping Dennis utilize this talent. He shared his art and the joy he received from it with his family. Dennis truly loved the great outdoors. From working with Diane in their garden to camping and golfing, He really knew how to just enjoy the beauty all around him living a life of love and adventure. Dennis passed February 8th, 2007 and leaves behind his wife, four sons, eight grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will be a memorial celebration at the Littlerock Fire Hall Wednesday, February 14th from 4-7pm. The Address to the Hall is 10828 Littlerock Rd. SW, 98512. Directions to the Firehall from I 5 From I 5, take the 93rd Ave SW exit 99. Head west on 93rd Ave SW Turn Left onto Littlerock Rd. SW 10828 Littlerock Rd.
