Dear Katrina- I only know you from the wonderful things that your sister (Brytteva) has said about you. I am so happy that your family was finally able to put your soul to rest. I met your sister several months ago-and now I have a friend for life. I know that you are looking down upon her and are so proud of everything she has accomplished and gone through. She is such an amazing woman as you were (on earth) and are (in heaven). My love goes out to your family for being so strong all of these years-I know you are also proud of their courage. Looking at your picture reminded me so much of the glow that Brytteva also endures. I hope you give your family a kiss good- night on the times that they need it. You are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for touching my life.

Although I have since moved away from Washington state, I have closely followed the disapperance of Katrina. We were in the same grade at Timberline High School and I remember her fondly, always looking up to her in how she carried herself and was always a smiling face. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. My heart aches for the loss

I love you all and my thoughts and prayers are continually with you. Katrina will always hold a special place in my heart. I was reading what other people wrote and read what her teacher at Komachin wrote about those baskets she made. I still have one of those baskets that Katrina gave me one time, for my birthday, I think. I was going through all my old things and throwing things away. When I pulled out that basket, I just couldn't throw it away. I will keep it always as a memory of the wonderful, thoughtful friend Katrina was to me.
Love, Angi :)

Hi Dottie and David,
I attended the funeral of your beautiful daughter today, and it was so wonderful. It was full of life and hope and peace and the knowledge that she is healed and in a better place and that you will of course see her again.
Here is what I remember about her most!!!! I remember her playing the piano and how I loved to listen to it from my house. She was so very talented. She was gifted in music, and I just know that now she is a master and playing her music for the Lord.
I also remember so very well the day we gave you all our shelves that we were going to sell at our garage sale. You wanted them to display her baskets. And then we ended up buying several baskets, after giving Katrina the shelves. It was a fun and very rewarding memory.
I appreciate your friendship and best of all I want you to know that you are a testimony of the faith that you hold. You are the most perfect neighbors and I highly respect you and am glad that we live here and had a part in Katrina's life.

Dave, Dottie & Family;
Our fondest memories of Katrina are watching her, Betteva & Bronwyn walk down our street from school; happy, loving girls to a happy, loving home. God Bless your family.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush….
Of quiet birds in circled flight…
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry…..
I am not there; I did not die.

I will always remember Katrina as a warm, gentle, and caring young lady who had high expectations for herself. There are many fond memories, but the time I will cherish is when Katrina made her wonderful baskets in my Junior Achievement class and sucessfully sold a large quanity at Lacey's Fun Fair. We shared so many great, but funny conversations during that time. I will always keep a warm place in my heart for her. Her journey down here is over. I'm happy to know that she is at peace.

Dear David and Dottie,
I did not ever get to know Katrina on a daily basis, but I was touched by her grace, her ability to grab hold of life, and run with all her might to taste fully of the joys life can bring to each of us. She was so full of life, so darling, so exciting, and so fun to be around. She is your beautiful daughter, and Heavenly Fathers. I have also seen how brave, and calm you have been in all that you have had to face. I have seen the glow of the Gospel in your attitude, and in your physical appearance since all of this nightmare has unfolded. I have always admired how you were as parents, friends, and a loving couple toward each other. Your children have been lucky to have parents like the both of you. Katrina loves you to this day, as you love her. That love will sustain you through the rest of your lives. How better to honor her memory than through the testimonials of her family. Anyone can tell how much she is loved, and someday she will be able to thank you for being awesome parents to her.
May Heavenly Father comfort you now while you mourn her loss, and continue to comfort you even when the pain is not as consuming as it is right now.
Sincerely,
Harold and Nancy Rogers
