Obituary of Katrina Marie Nash

Katrina Marie Nash was born to David and Dorothy Nash on 23 January 1981 in Wenatchee, Washington. In 1986 Katrina moved with her family to Olympia, Washington. She disappeared on 18 June 1996. Her skeleton was found in the Olympia Watershed Park on 27 February 2005. She attended Lakes Elementary School, Komachin Middle School and Timberline High School. She enjoyed many interests in drama, music and writing stories and poetry. She had been elected Freshman class secretary and was a member of the Timberline Dance Team. She played piano, acted with the Creative Theatre Experience, was an excellent student and loved to learn. Katrina enjoyed her membership in the Lacey First and Lacey Fifth Wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved small children and was gentle and kind to those who had disabilities. Katrina lived life to the fullest, had a great sense of humor and set high goals for her life. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Michelle Wells, Wenatchee; Michael Reneau, Yakima; Robert Reneau, Corpus Christi, Texas; Mark Reneau, Yakima; Annette Warmoth, Puyallup; Sean Spurlock, Kapowsin; Brytteva Nash, Seattle and Bronwyn Nash, Olympia and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and one grandfather, John A. Oyler of Rapid City, South Dakota who will miss her very much. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3800 Henderson Blvd SE, Olympia. Graveside committal service will follow at Masonic Memorial Park, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater. For those who might want to honor Katrina’s memory, we have chosen Team HOPE, a program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Established in 1998, Team HOPE matches searching families with experienced and trained volunteers who have had or still have a missing child.
