Your girl created a smile in my day or two when I got to see her (your place or at her work), a hint of a giggle when anyone was a complete goof, and genuine humanity to all of us.
She is a compilation of all of her loved ones. For that she is always with whomever needs a grin or even a kick in the behiney (she told me that), I send my hugs and hope out to her beloved families.

I wil remember Erin for the fact that she DID live and not for the fact that she is gone. That laugh...You could hear it at the other end of the school. That personality, it made even the most typical day at THS a wonderful, chipper, not so boring day. We may have lost, but heaven has truly gained...take good care of her :)

I met Erin while I was working at Olympia Credit Union. She always had a smile on her face and something nice to say. I spent many nights with her down at Charlie's, or Trosper's, or wherever else I bumped into her. Her smile and the way she made the people around her feel will always stay with me. It seems I've had to leave too many of these messages lately for friends who left this world way too soon; I was deeply saddened to hear of Erin's passing, knowing it's nowhere near what the family is going through at this time. My condolences to her family and to everyone close to her.

My deepest sorrow goes out to Sonja and family over the loss of Erin. The story that I will never forget is the time Sonja and I took our daughters to the Goldendale Observatory in eastern Wa. The girls were about 11 years old. Each time the speaker at Goldendale said "Uranus" the kids giggled over and over...even after having separated the both of them they still peeked over at each other and laughed even louder. Nothing we did could stop them from giggling over "Uranus"...and if that wasnt enough...on the way home we stopped at a restaurant, the girls got to sit by themselves, then Adrienne dares Erin to throw food...Having to live up to a dare, Erin tosses her chicken bone over her head and it lands on the plate of a man seated behind them. Erin's giggling, and her zest for life will never be forgotten. Love to all, Karen

I met Erin last year at Charlie's Tavern, and only regret I didn't have the chance to know her better. Jerry and Sonja, Hope and Heather--I can't begin to tell you how my heart hurts for you all...and to lose another lively young person from this family is so sad. What moves me most deeply is to see all of these memorials and all the people who attened the service for Erin. She touched so many, many people and was so loved! She may have had a very short life but she made every moment count and I admire her for that greatly. Not many people in this world can accomplish what she did and in such a short amount of time. She lived it to the fullest! I hope you can get some peace from that and all the great memories she has left.

The phone call on Saturday came as a shock. To have a life so full come to a stop. My first feelings were of grief, sadness, anger and regret. Reading what she has given to so many people made me stop and think. That she lived her life and gave us all what she had to give, laughter, smiles, and lots of hugs that I can still feel. Her laughter echoes in my mind and it brings a smile to my face when I think of her. Erin lived her life they way she wanted and with the struggles and disappointments of everyday life she touched everyones life that she crossed. That is a gift all in its self to all of us that knew her. Her struggle with her every breath is no longer, but she still lives and breathes through everyone of us. May we all celebrate her life and let go of our pent up feelings and set them free and let her live on in our minds.
Our thoughts and prayer are with Sonja and Poages families. Love you all.

I didn't get the opportunity to get to know Erin very well, but what I did get to learn from her, was her ability to make the best of everyone and everything she encountered, whether she liked it or not, and believe me- she'd let ya know, either way!! The first time I met Erin, I went to Charlie's Bar & Grill to watch karaoke, with my good friend Tina (from Trosper's), and I saw Erin sing for the first time- I was blown away!! An amazing voice and "sassyness" like I'd never seen before! And the girl could "shake her thang" and DANCE!!, like you read about!! Erin had, and STILL HAS, the most beautiful smile and self esteem that I've ever seen anyone have in my life, and that is what I will always remember about her. My thoughts and prayers are with you Erin, your family, and everyone's life you've ever touched... WAY too many to even count...

First of all, Our Deepest & heartfelt Sympathy goes out to all of you. How fortunate that we were able to meet Erin through Dani. The day we met Erin, She sat at the bar & bought $10 of pulltabs. She won $3 & said "I'm gonna win that jackpot". She spent the $3, got nothing, pulled out five dollars more, and on the last one she said "This is the one", she opened the last ticket and the screaming & giggling from the girls echoed through out the place. Sure enough, Erin had won the Jackpot prize! What a smile & laugh! These are great memories.
Erin,
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the Sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I remember when she got her new Saturn and she thought it was the coolest to take a running start at it and just kick it because it would bounce right back. :) She thought that was so cool and she wanted us all to try it. She is a great person and her smile, laughter and bounce in her step was always so contagious. You couldn't help but to smile when you saw her. Erin will be so greatly missed. As Erin and I grew up we had alot of experiences together. The trip to Levenworth when we decided to be like the teenagers and slide down an ice hill, needless to say we ended up bruised and scratched. But it was fun. Or the times we were like the boys and trying to out do them on our bikes, we got hurt then too. But it was worth it. As we grew older we went our own ways. But we always remembered to call on our birthdays no matter where we were. I will miss that. I will miss her beautiful smile, her outstanding voice, and her wonderful laughter. Erin Mayer has touched me, and many others, in so many precious ways. She was a diamond in the rough, and I am blessed to have had her as a friend. I will always cherish time spent with Erin. Her infectious smile, her contagious laughter, her unstoppable love and warmth will live in the hearts of many forever. Sonya and Jerry, and all of Erin's family I am not acquainted with also, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sonja, Jerry, Poage, Bonnie, Dean, Ma & Pa Voie Our hearts go out to you. Chills went through our bodies when we were told about Erin. It was not so long ago we were in school together and then soon after we were having kids about the same time. Erin is in a safe place and watching over all of you. Remember when the sun is out she's smiling and the rain are tears from heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We love you.

Erin was one of the most wonderful girls to be around. I had the pleasure of knowing Erin since I moved to Tumwater 13 years ago. She spent nights with my Nichole at our house and always had a smile on her face. She could make anyones day brighter with her contagious laughter. She will be missed greatly.
