Heather Lerch

Obituary of Heather Lerch

IN LOVING MEMORY HEATHER MAE LERCH Heather Mae Lerch was born January 23, 1991 in Olympia, Washington, to Dan and Wendy Lerch. The oldest of two children, Heather left us far too soon on February 23, 2010 in a tragic, single-car accident. She grew up in Littlerock, where she attended school at Littlerock Elementary School and Bush Middle School. She graduated cum laude from Tumwater High School. Most recently she was attending Centralia College while working at Tumwater Subway. Heather loved traveling with her family, and was an avid skier and snowboarder. She loved camping, and loved to tease her brother to distraction. She had the most beautiful sparkly eyes, framed by long, thick eyelashes… eyes that seemed to look right into your soul. Heather was a little bit magic, with remarkable intuition and an understanding of the future that few people have. She was sensitive, affectionate and cuddly, stubborn, and independent. When Heather laughed, you would swear that the sun had just come out. Heather was a loyal friend and a good listener. She was curious about life and loved to solve mysteries and “figure things out.” Heather is survived by her parents, Dan and Wendy; her brother Brandon; her grandparents Roland and Brigitte Lerch, Dawn and Jim Vorass, and Trevor and Laila Thompson; lots of loving Uncles, Aunts and cousins; and many, many close friends. She will also be missed by her best furry friend, Roxy. A celebration of life will be held on March 10, 2010, at 3:00 p.m., at South Sound Manor, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. This is a celebration of life: please do not wear black, and each person please bring one colorful balloon that will be released in her memory at the end of the service. She was the sweetheart of her parents, the best friend of her brother, and will be missed by everyone very much. In lieu of flowers, donations in Heather’s name may be made to the Thurston County Humane Society. Please leave memories and condolences for family online by clicking on "View Guestbook" below.
