I have such fond memories of fun loving Carma and Paul. Reading the obituary, I remembered so many things, but particularly, Paul grabbing Carma for a little dance in the middle of family celebrations. They were always fun, joyous and positive spirits and it was so wonderful to be around them. I think we were all graced by their presence and it flows into who we are today. Allison.

Aunt Carma's name has Hebrew origins and it's meaning is garden, orchard, or vineyard. I certainly feel the name suits our wonderful aunt as she was the orchard for a large and fruitful Koenig family. As the roots of her name might suggest, she was also the bearer of laughter, lots of love, and a caring that you could always see in her smiling eyes. She will be sorely missed, and I know she was much loved by any who knew her. It's good to know she's now in the loving arms of God and able to spend her eternity with Uncle Paul. God bless all the Koenigs........Love, Ajay & Jaseca Mathison

My Memories go so far back. Aunt Carma was the fun and crazy one - and fun seemed to be her middle name. I remember how she could stand on one foot and tie her other shoe. I remember traveling to Utah and getting spoiled with so many fun activities. I remember coming home from school, always wanting to see Carma and Paul. They always made me feel so welcome and I thoroughly loved each experience. Both her and Uncle Paul made it seem like being a Koenig was very cool. Also, I will always remember her great hugs.

I think I cherish Thanksgivings but hold special in my heart the trips to visit the Koenig clan in the VARIOUS communities they lived in. I know now the moves couldn't have been easy with that brood of kids but always, and I mean always, we couldn't wait to get there in our 57 chevy station wagon, so we could visit with our cousins and be surrounded by a family that we loved and that we could tell loved us. Carma and Paul always made their home so welcome even though I will bet finances had to be a bit difficult. So much to learn from and to remember in how lives should be lived. I will remember Carma's smile and laugh and that wonderful twinkle she had in her eye. I also loved her name ~ Carma ~ the best of all of the sisters and wished I had been named that instead of Regina. : )

While my mother Bev may not appreciate this, my consistent memory of Aunt Carma and Uncle Paul was my first taste of beer. I believe it was at one of their summer parties, and I think it was Mike or John, or both, that made me take my first taste. I didn't like it, but I dam well got used to it, and Carma would get a kick out of that. Beer aside, what is most important I remember is her fun loving positive nature. I always remember her smiling.

Mom used to joke that with so many kids in the house, she had to resort to calling us by numbers, hence my designation as "#4". We were fortunate to have had a mother who loved her husband so dearly. We were also fortunate that she had a husband who returned that love; and took such delight in her never ending desire to be social, to do the unexpected and to be connected with others. While in recent years she lost the ability to communicate many of her ideas and feelings, the two questions she never stopped asking me are: "How's your family?" and "Have you been doing anything fun lately?" What wonderful questions to be asking - ones that were so central to her own way of living.
Love for evermore from number four!
