It was wonderful knowing you. You have left me with some great memories and I am so glad that Bob and I stopped by to see you several years back when we took a motorcycle trip to Victoria from Nevada City, CA. You hadn't changed a bit. You will be missed.

What memories growing up around the corner from "The Howdens" I was younger, and rember how great I thought your family was? John used to come by every morning and wait for Randy to go to school. He always had a yo yo in his hands. Debbie and I would ride our stingray bikes around Hillcrest every day,(it was the funnest because all of the driveway bumps) and often see your mom. She always had that beautiful smile, and a Hello for us. I thought she was gorgeous. She was also a fabulous artist. I remember she was selling at a bazaar when Lacey Mall was open and I purchased one of her toll paintings. I still have it. We visited alot that day. She was a beautiful person. God Bless you all.

I can only imagine what it was like when your mom met up with your dad last week. I imagine they stood in awe and then danced together....
I remember getting rides to school in the VW van. I always loved hanging out at your house because your mom had your kitchen full of good food. There were always fresh flowers in a vase on the table in the bay window. I was always impressed when she would take off in the canoe by herself down the bay. She was always there with a patient, beautiful, smile, ready to listen. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.

We feel your loss. It's a loss for us too. We felt like Betty was one of our mothers, and it felt very strange to move away from her. We still shop on the west side so would run into her at the grocery store occasionally after we moved. We feel the hole she is leaving, but will always think of her when we see a pretty garden.

We send or condolences to the family. Your were first our good neighbors and later part of our family when Bob married Joanie. Your mother was always so good to our family and was considered an ideal mother-inlaw to Joanie. Jeanie and I were in Safeway this morning and immediatly thought of Betty, as that is where we would always see her. She was always upbeat. We will look foward to seeing the family and reminise about the good days.
