Obituary of Joey Hodges

Friends are welcome to pay their respects from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Church prior to the service. JOEY C. HODGES- Went home to be with Jesus on December 19, 2008. Joey was born August 15,1953 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Charley and Dolores (Reber) Hodges. Joey was preceded in death by his father Charley Hodges, Grandpa & Grandma Reber and Uncle Don Reber. He is survived by his mother Dolores Lombardo, Brother James and his wife Darlene and their children Joshua & JeAnna Lombardo, Uncle Ben Reber, Cousins Jake Reber, Beth Hemminger, Donna Posvar, Mandy Nebrija, Diane Cox, Denise Powell. Joey worked through Morningside’s group support employment. Most recently as a Document Preparer at the Cherry Street Plaza. Before that janitorial services and years back at Pay & Save Drug Store. Joey loved his church and his Pastor Rick Wilder. He attended Olympia Bible Baptist Church whenever the church doors were open. “Jesus Loves Me” was Joey’s favorite song. He sang it to the congregation many times. Joey enjoyed bowling, basketball, listening to music, watching “Walker Texas Ranger” and playing video games. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Olympia Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 704 Delphi Rd SW Olympia WA 98512.
