May Dad’s life inspire us to remain true to our commitments. May his example remind us that honesty and integrity are their own rewards. May his words and deeds remind us that God is always there for us, even when we are not there for God.

My daughter is in the first grade at Madison Elementary School, where Mr Herron read to the children twice a week. She was very sad on Monday when she came home telling me that "the very, very nice man, Mr Herron," had died and she was going to miss him reading to her. She went on to tell me how he was always so patient with the children and how he helped them sound out the words they couldn't pronounce.
Thank you for the kindness you showed our children.
They will not forget you.

Uncle Bud's faithfull and loving service to God, family and country was not only appreciated by those whose lives he touched, but was a wonderful example of what it means to be a Godly man. The light of Christ truly shone in his heart as he faithfully served throughout his life. Uncle Bud served as God's loving servant for over 84 years. Now, we know that Uncle Bud is in God's loving embrace to share in God's love for all eternity. We will miss you, Uncle Bud and we pray that our Lord will comfort Aunt Erin and the family during this time.

Uncle Bud showed me that being a man meant always being with your wife. I will always remember that no matter how obscure the family function, Uncle Bud was right there with Aunt Erin. He did not have to do much at all for the boundless comfort he provided.
Thank you Bud for giving me such a positive role model and thank you for your service to our country. You are a hero, you are loved and your (physical) presence will be missed. God Bless you, Uncle Bud.

my favorite memory of dad, and mom , is Christmas Eve. I was about 7 or 8 years old, I could hear them from my bedroom,( I was supposed to be asleep) they were talking quietly , I felt so secure and warm knowing that my parents loved each other, I felt safe.
(they were wrapping our presents!)
