Mom, it has taken me some time to think about what I wanted to write to you. Your family was very important to you. If there was one thing I could have wished for you it would have been for everyone to love each other unconditionally. Realizing that we all have our times in life where we have failed to do what is right. But unconditional love is for each other is the true Key to the important things in life. Forgiveness towards each other. I can’t say that through life’s journeys I have always displayed unconditional love but you have taught me how to learn from those challenges, to show unconditionally love, even if the other party is unable to. We can’t choose the hardships or path’s our life’s take, we can however chose how we react towards those challenges, and accept our responsibilities for our mistakes and reactions towards others. We are responsible for our actions, not others who may stick thorns in our pathway. Forgiveness is easy to say but not easy for some to act on. But for a mother and the Lord it comes easy. One of my most memorable moments in my life was when we would sing together. The one song that always makes me think of you is the song, “Tell Me Why”. We use to sing it in harmony, when I was a little girl. The words were as follows:
Tell me why, the stars do shine,
Tell me why, the ivy twine,
Tell me why, the oceans blue,
And I will tell you just why I love you.
Because God made, the stars to shine,
Because God made, the ivy twine,
Because God made, the ocean blue,
Because God made you, that’s why I love you.
It seems to me that God above,
Created you for me to love,
He picked you out from all the rest,
Because he knew, that you, were best.
No matter how much hardship, you may have felt was involved for us to move you here, take care of you and look out for your best interest, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. To be there with you through this was rough, but it was also something I would not have wanted to be apart from. I watched you grow spiritually and strong in the last few months, even as your body grew weaker and I am confident I will see you again. God “created you for me to love, because he knew, that you were best.” I will truly miss you. Love your daughter, Debbie

Joann, I will miss you. You were the best Aunt anyone could have.
You were so giving, and no matter how long it was in between our
visits, you were always so good to talk with. We would just talk like it was yesterday when we last spoke. I will miss you always.
Love, Debbie

JoAnn was like a part-time mother and a sister, but most of all she was a great friend. We had many great time together as we were growing up together. I will always remember the newspaper and pop bottle collecting and the many Saturday's we spent at the movies together. You are one of God's greatest childern and your love you shared with others will be always remembered. We will miss you until we meet together on the other side of the veil.
Joe.
You were always a great friend to me and I always enjoyed our times together. Joe and I love you very much. Until we meet again.

We didn't know JoAnn that well, but the little bit of time we were around her, she was very kind. We bought the house she and Bob lived in here in Wichita Kansas(still live here, actually),and she made Tacos for us once that were so delicious. I still use her recipe to this day!Just wanted to let her Family know that our thoughts and Prayers are with you during this hard time. Jewell and Bob Brown

Grandmaw. Thank you for all your words of encouragement. One of my favorite things in the world was making you smile. I will miss playing cards with you, even though you would always kick my butt.
Love you forever.
