Dear Mary Lou and family, We were so very sorry to hear about Jack. He was such a great friend and neighbor to have. He always had a big smile on his face. I would look for him working in the yard or fixing something in the garage just so I could say hello. We never knew how much fun garage sales could be until we took the Jack and Mary Lou tour. What a hoot! He was a garage sale aficionado in his little red car. We will miss our kitchen window talks. He made us feel like family and we were blessed to have know him. Russ and Mary Ann

Dear Hartough Family, I was so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Jack (and Cathy) during the good ole days (1976-1992, although I think Jack retired before I left the PUD). He was quite a guy! My thoughts and prayers are with you. ~Pam

Dear Hartough Family, I will always remember having Jack and brother Dan as good friends as we were children. Lois and "Zeke" were such wonderful friends to our family. My Mom and Lois were "best" friends. I wore Jack and Dan's handmedown clothes in Jr and Sr. High School. I will cherish always such generousity.
Our thoughts are with you and your family in these hours, Mary Lou

Although I didnt know Jack Personally, I feel I know what kind of person he was from memories shared by his daughter. One thing that sticks out in my thought is that through out his illness Jack chose to live life to its fullest and make every day count. And it appears he always kept his sense of humor along the way. What a wonderful legacy he leaves to those who knew and loved him.
