you were "captian america" to me all while growing up and still to this day. Your house was the place I ran away from home to when my dad (My Chief) wouldn't take me scuba diving when I was 3 years old. I always remember those butterfly kisses. now my beloved parents are with you and Mary.. love and honor...

I knew Harvey as a neighbor for 31 years. I met him when we moved into the neighborhood in 1974. Harvey was such a kind, gentleman. It was hard for me to picture him as a tough state patrolmen -- I never remember anything but a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.

I worked for and with Harvey from 1971 until 1978. He was a kind, gracious, and very humerous man whom I respected greatly. I loved working with him, and have often thought of him over the years. God bless you, Harvey!

Colonel Hallom was one of the finest people I've had the pleasure of knowing, I'm proud to be able to say he was my friend. I never had the pleasure of working with Harvey as he retired while I was a Trooper but during my years in Headquarters our paths passed many times at the monthly retirement luncheons. I always enjoyed talking with him and discussing how the WSP achieved what it did during his tenure with the department. I stopped and visited with him in late 2005 and we had a great visit. The family of Col. Harvey Hallom can be very proud of his contributions to the WSP and the citizens of WA during his career with WSP. Harvey I will miss you, God bless you.

I first met Harvey in 1970 when our family moved in across the street from the Halloms. He became a great friend then, and remained one of my close friends and mentors until his passing. He may have ruled the patrol with an iron fist, but was a big loveable teddy bear at heart ! I am honered to have known Harvey, and to have been a friend of his for the past thirty six years. We will all miss Harvey, but will all have many great memories of him to last forever. Harvey , Thanks for being my friend ! I will miss you ! your pal JIM HAMILL

Dear Norris and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Harvey's passing. He was a very good friend to my dad and my family. I am going to miss when he would come over for dinner at my dad's. They would sit there and argue for hours. It was very comical to listen to them.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are all in my thoughts.
Tracy
