What an amazing woman Judy was! I have many cherished memories spent in the Finley home, Judy always made me feel welcomed and a part of the family. I loved her laughter , her smile, and the twinlke that was ever present in her eyes. Judy truely loved life and lived it to the fullest. She taught me to cherish the small things in life. Though Judy will be missed, special memories will forever keep her close to the heart. Sending hugs and prayers of comfort ~

What a beautifully written obituary. Judy and her flowers -that is how I will remember her. I was so impressed with her garden in Cinebar, also her good cooking . The first time I met her, she had prepared a huge meal , all of it delicious and home made. I appreciated her intelligence and her quick wit and liked her very much. I am sorry that she had to spend her last years in a way that was not comfortable for her. My sympathy to all her family and friends who loved her.

I always enjoyed the warm welcome when we teenagers converged on your Naches home. Even if we were sandy and soaking wet from floating the river, we were welcomed as though we were family. What great memories!

DEAR finley family,
How we all remember the fun times at the finley home. Parties, fellowship, ping pong and picnics in the snow. We always felt welcome and new that we had friends that blessed our family with a lot of love. Judy will forever be missed but the many memories will linger on. Love and Prayers, The Tidymans

My son John and daughter Cynthia, together with my wife Shirley and I were among the first to Welcome the Finleys to Yakima and the Stone Church. While dining at their home we learned the spirited joy of their fellowship. Judy was in the process of directing a fork full of mashed potatoes to her mouth, but interrupted it with an animated gesture that directed said potatoes to Shirley's hair. It left Judy aghast, but the unanimous laughter sealed that the moment will always remain a fun moment for us.
We shared in much joy with the family. The following quote is apropos: " 'Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh,' Jesus says. That means not just that you shall laugh when the time comes but that you can laugh a little even now in the midst of weeping because you know that the time is coming. All appearances to the contrary notwithstanding, the ending will be a happy ending. That is what the laughter is about. It is the laughter of faith." God bless you all

Some of the happiest moments of my teen years were spent at the Finley home and Judy was the center of the fun. When I learned of Judy's passing, I began to go over my memories: playing rousing games of spoons on the kitchen table, eating the pig I'd named "Tardo" for breakfast, sorting through extra Hallmark cards (I think I still have some), and laughing, always laughing.
Bill, Mark, Russ and Sam, I'm so sorry that she is no longer with you, but I know that you have a treasure chest of memories of your wonderful mother.

I enjoyed my friendship with Judy immensely. I worked with her at DeGoede's for a short time. When she no longer worked there, she gave me her 'DeGoede' T-shirt. I still have it and will keep it as a remembrance of her generosity. She was always so upbeat and friendly to everyone. I'll miss her.
My prayers and condolences are with her family.

So sorry to hear about your mother, she was a wonderful women. I have lots of memories of her when we were just kids and growing up into our teenage years. Everytime I would come over to your house in naches she was either working in the garden or in her shop. I always loved all of her antiques. Do you remember that one year I bought you carrots for your birthday? Your mom thought that was so great.I even won the jelly beans. It's funny how you remember things and wish we could all get them back. Just remember all the things she has done. It's hard to believe that we are at that age where we have to say goodbye to our loved ones. She is in a better place now and will be missed. All my prayers and love will be with you. Please give me a call or text to let me know how you are. My cell phone # is 961-6113 and my e-mail address is dmurphy@careymotors.com.
Mr. Finley, Mark and Russ my deepest sympathy.
God bless you all. Love Debbie

Judy was a true friend of Moms and the two of them had a great time together. When the boys graduated from high school Mom had a party and had Judy dress up as an old fashioned "mammy" maid and give the boys instructions of how to iron a white shirt properly for their college years. It was hilarious and she would give the boys a bad time about ironing in a wrinkle and then give them a squirt bottle of water to "work it out".This is one of life's lesson they will not forget. I know that these last few years have been a struggle for Judy but you have so many wonderful memories to look back on and remember a great woman. Our thoughts are with you.

To Judy's family;
What you wrote about Judy truly captured her love of life and family. I valued her wisdom, opinions, talent, enthusiasm, creativity, friendship, energy and positive spirit. Her garden was an inspiration! When she left Naches, her presence was missed.
May you all be blessed with fond memories of dear Judy.
