The most tolerant Dad of all the Dads was John. Tennis racquets in the back of his convertible Rambler... he told us kids gently, "I NEVER CHANGE THE OIL.. JUST ADD MORE!". We could punch him, but he would still say gently.."come on kid get in". Nothing ever phased John. A gentle man. Totally unique he was!

When those Eisendrath boys were growing up on Georgina in Santa Monica, you'd always expect to see their dad, John, in the middle of the football game, or just hanging out on the street with all the neighborhood kids. He'd take us to the nearby tennis courts -- what a graceful player he was. He was so easy going, kind and friendly with everyone. And what a smile! He was one of my favorite Dads. Those lucky Eisendrath boys...

We have such great memories of John. He and Pat were in our faith sharing group for a number of years. We appreciated his interesting thoughts and especially enjoyed when he played the organ for us. Indeed John was a gentle, considerate man, and we'll not forget him.
