My name is Anita Peeples, and I was a neighbor of Sue and Larry’s for 23 years. We started a neighborhood Bible study 16 years ago, and Sue was one of our founding members. It was a blessing and a privilege to spend Monday evenings with Sue. If I had to use one word to describe Sue, it would be “passionate”. Sue was passionate about her love for the Lord and His Word, the Bible. She read it daily beginning in the early hours of the morning. She delighted in studying the Bible and sharing what the Lord has taught her over the years. Bible study was a high priority in Sue’s life.
Sue was passionate about her family. Her love for her husband, children and grandchildren was clearly evident. She often shared news of accomplishments and visits with her family. She was the model of a mother who was deeply committed to her family.
Lastly, she was a woman of prayer. Those early morning Bible readings also included many hours of prayer. Sue and Larry have a large family, and Sue was committed to praying for each of them by name. Those prayers will follow her family members even though she has moved on. There would be no greater legacy to Sue than for each of her family members to live lives committed to Jesus Christ and a love for the Bible.
It was a tremendous gift to me and the ladies in our Bible study to have Sue as a long-time member. Her smile, laughter, wisdom and love will never be forgotten.
Best Love to you, Sue!

Sue is my cousin and I always admired her vitality and grace. She was the ultimate example to all her cousins for her beauty and charm. She also baby sat for my wife’s family when my wife was a child. She was much admired not just within the family but in the community at large. When I was in the military far from home on one Memorial Day weekend I called Sue and she graciously invited me to spend the weekend with her family. They really rescued me from a state of despair when they cancelled their plans in order to accommodate me for the weekend. It was a real life lesson in grace. All of her cousins and family will miss her and her bubbly face and sparkling personality. Love you much Sue, Godspeed.
Love

I have known Sue for 33 years & worked with her at the Fort Lewis Thrift Shop. I will always remember her as a spitball fof fire, never one o slow down & take it easy. Every Halloween she would come in dressed in full costume. I remember one year she came as an old west can-can girl. She literally popped the eyes of some of our customers. Then there was the year she came to one of our luncheons as a bag lady & went around picking the pockets of the volunteers. She was a good, hard working lady & I for one am so pleased to have known her. May she rest in peace

Very sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. I knew she was ill but hoped she had continued to recover.
Blessings to you both, may she rest peacefully, and you be comforted with the good times you shared. All our best wishes and prayers for you both.

I have a photo of you and Sue and the white model “A” at Bob Baileys house in Sept. 2009.
