Joyce was a special person. We are sorry for your loss, but happy she is in a better place. We still have several of her paintings given to us and handed down from my mom's things. Some of the memories I have are of the Christmas get togethers and seeing so much tinsel and strung popcorn on your Christmas trees. We did not do tinsel or popcorn strings, so it was fun to see yours. I remember the home made rootbeer and the stories about shoveling the manure around the house while holding your breath. Joyce was a great cook and I can still hear her infectious laugh. Thank goodness for the memories. Please let us know more about next yea'rs Aug. 15th get together. Our Love, Mark & Ellen

As part of the Guimond Clan, I wanted you to know our Mother Lucille, really loved Joyce. As a little child I remember how excited Mom got when she knew Joyce and Dolores where coming to town to visit us. I remember how sweet and beautiful Joyce was, and how affectionate she was to Mom and us three younger cousisns. We were all saddeded by her death. She was so cleaver, talented, interesting, and loving. We also have paintings that Mom contracted with Joyce to paint for her, and will cherish them forever. We would love to attend the memorial service that you are planning for next year, please keep us informed.
Thank You
Jack and Pat Campbell

I have wonderful memories of Joyce, particulary from the late '60s and early '70s. I had never met anyone who was such a wonderful cook, who painted so beautifully and had such an artistic sensibility about her. Her home was always so open, filled with good smells from kitchen and full of flowers from the garden. Joyce seemd to do everything with such ease. When her first grandchild, Raoul, was born, she completely embraced being a grandmother and enjoyed every little thing her new grandson did. She will always live on through her paintings (I think everyone in the family has at least one!), and through the artistic talent she passed on to all of her children and they to their children. That's quite a legacy.

The family is planning a private gathering around August 15th next year to remember mother Joyce with a celebration of her life and the spreading of her ashes in a beautiful place that had meaning to her. Anyone who knew or loved her is welcome to join us for that.
A pictorial of her life will be posted shortly.
