Roy was my “First Love” .In 1964, we meet when I was a 15 yr old Junior in high school, he was Junior too. I was at a Grid -G-Round game and Roy and Mark came along and stole my shoes! I was shoe-less all night ! The next “encounter ”was at an all city dance and Roy said he wanted to ask me to dance all night but was afraid of the BIG 6t 4 in guy I was dancing with! Roy got a good laugh later when he found out the BIG 6ft 4in guy ,was my LITTLE BROTHER !! We went together all the rest of high school. We had a lot of fun , dances, games, movies, hanging out with Mark.
We reconnected a few years ago when Roy contacted me .We got together with Mark, Dianne, Myself and family. We’ve had a lot of fun reminiscing about the good “ole” days and talking about our children and families .Roy will always have a special place in my heart! . Roy will be missed greatly
He was a kind and caring man .We love you Roy! God bless you kids and watch over you.
Love Betty Wolfe and family

I met Leroy in 1966 when we were aboard the USS Kearsarge cvs 33.We stayed on the same ship and went ashore together for about 3 years. Our ship was decommissiond and we went to seperate ships but kept in touch.I married a Girl named Linda and Leroy married her best friend Mary. They stayed with us for awhile in Quilcene and he loved to catch dog fish.He liked to be called RAT FISH on the cb radio. When he lived in Tacoma I would get on top of mnt. Walker and we would talk on the radio for hours.WE also played hundereds of games of cribbage,I think we won an equil amount of games, even though he would say he won more.I used to visit him and his familly quite often in California when traveling through when I was driving semi truck. There are many good memmories.Knowing Leroy was a good thing in my life.I will miss him very much.I feel for his familly and all the other friends that he has touched through the years.May we all carry the good rememberances of him through our life

I met Roy when we attended Mason Jr. High school and have been good friends ever since. I remember going to dances and seeing who could get turned down the most and I usually lost. We also went to one dance and danced every dance and then walked home from 38th and South Tacoma Way. I remember almost getting into fights with the bullies at school but when we stood up they backed down. We use to played football with the jocs at school and we alway won. There was the time that Roy and his family drove up from California and found us camping when no one new where we were.
I remember dropping one of the kids into a salad bowl when they were a baby.I remember the time that we went to Disneyland with the kids. One of the most memorable time is when him and the kids came up from Ca. and Roy could'nt get out of his car and we put him in the Hospital that night. There are too many memories to write about. There were the weekend when we had nothing to do so we play pinnocle with my parents.
Kids I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad will be missed

Fishing just isn't the same with out you and the Vanilla lotion. Remembering the dolphin that got on my line. You were laughing so hard while Harlan followed the dolphin and I kept reeling in some line.

I will always remember the days when my Uncle and Cousins would be on ther way, and I would be running around just waitting for them to drive in the driveway. I always liked going for rides in hes car with him. The time I like the best was when Brenda had volleyball pracrice so we would drop her off and go get juice and donated and we would tell jokes and talk that was the best.... I love my Uncle so much and I will miss him alway, but now my Sister Jamie who is in Heaven will now have her Uncle with her..... Uncle Roy you will be forever in my prayers and I love you......

,ll lend you for a little while a man of mine god said, for you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he,s dead. it may be sixty or eightyyears or fourty two or three but will you, till i call him back take care of him for me, he,ll bring his charms to gladden you , and should his stay be long or brief, you,ll always have his memories as a solace in your grief . i cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return but there are lessons taught below i want this man to learn. i.ve looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true, and from all the folk that crowd lifes lane i have chosen you ,i know you,ll give him all your love and not think it in vain.nor hate me when i come to take this man back again .i fancy that i heard them say "dear god" thy will be done.for all the joys this man will bring, the risk of grief we,ll run we will shelter him with tenderness we,ll love him while we may, and all the joy we,ve ever known will ever grateful stay, but should the angels come for him much sooner than we planned we,ll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try and understand x x x
