Obituary of James Currier

James "Jim" Currier" After a short but courageous battle with cancer, James, “Jim” Currier, 51, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2008. He was born on April 29,1957 to James and Patricia (Ryan) Currier. His family lived in California, Hawaii, and Tumwater, Washington. He graduated from Tumwater High School in 1975. His father proceeded him in death. Jim will always be remembered for his deep love for his family and wonderful sense of humor. His greatest joys in life were his two grandchildren, Rieley and Cheyenne Wood. He looked forward to each day that he could see them. He was proud of achieving the Eagle Scout award and took great pride in every job that he held. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, collecting coins and researching the wonderful vacation destinations that he and his beloved wife Noreen went on. He is survived by his wife, Noreen; daughter, Amy Wood (Jason), Olympia; sisters, Cheryl Hayes of Tumwater, Susan Pennington (Chet) of Lacey; brother, Rick Currier of Aberdeen; and his mother, Patricia Ryan of Tumwater; along with nieces and nephews. The family will have a private gathering and celebration of Jim’s life at a later date.
