It has been many years since we had contact with Jim... we are saddened and shocked to learn of Jim's passing. Jim was one of the "kids around our house" -- most memorably as part of the Tumwater Boy Scout program in the 70's-- with our Dan. He was a very special young man. I especially remember how very proud we all were re Jim's dedication and tenacity in earning the prestigious Eagle Scout award! ...and the excitement of the boys' graduating from the THS. Our hearts go out to Jim's family and loved ones. God bless you all...

I remember well the days of playing backgammon at Jim's house with both Jim and his brother Rick. Although I was a good friend of Rick's, I always consider Jim a good friend as well. He always had pride in whatever he did and was very family oriented. I'll think of Jim often with found memories as I'm sure the rest of his family will. If he can, please have Rick call me at 360-456-1483 as I've tried to locate him over the last few years; thank you.

It was many years ago that we were good friends, but the memories seem recent. We went to THS together but didn't really hang out too much until after we graduated. We had a lot of fun and got into our share of mischief too. Our sincerest condolences to the entire family.

I was sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was my neighbor. We went to THS together and we went on a week long canoe trip together when he was in scouts. Jim was a really good guy and lots of fun. He was much too young to die may your memories sustain you in this time of grief

I am very sorry for your loss. I attended THS with Jim and remember him as a quiet, friendly and caring guy. He was nice to others at a time in life when kids can be hurtful. Everyone who knew him liked him. I hope that your memories of Jim will be happy ones. My prayers are with you.

Once again, our deep condolences for Jim's too-early passing. Living overseas, we didn't have much contact with Jim, but he always had a smile and a glimmer in his eye. We pray for the abiding comfort of the Lord to surround your entire family with the security of His love. Our prayers are with you all.

Well Tin Man, you are off to Oz for real now. It was hard to see your name in the paper. I know that you are very happy where you are. To your family, I spent several years with Jim in school, and we shared choir and drama. He was a real kick to be with. I know this is so hard for you, and my heart goes out to you. My prayers are with you all.
