I have just learned of Jerrys passing and am stunned! He was THE BEST NANP News Editor we ever had! I only met him once - at the 2005 San DiegoRoundup/convention, and we had a short visit ! Our sympathy goes to all of his family and friends. He sure enjoyed a wonderful life!

I feel very fortunate to have known Jerry. He was always in good spirits, every time I saw him. Just sitting down with Jerry for a few minutes was enough to see his caring and very likable personality. I know he will be missed, and my sincere condolences to Marjorie and the rest of the Craig family.

A little song I wrote...and now I'm sending it to you Jerry, we miss you very much.
Title: I'll Never Forget You
Everyday, I grow older,
And everyday, I change,
Everyday, I miss you,
And wish you could remain.
I see you standing next to me,
I hear you in my mind,
And in my heart you'll always be,
Until the end of time.
And until my time somes,
When I'll once again see you...
I'll just have to live my life,
And just do what I do...
And I'll never forget you.
And as long as I remain here,
You'll always be a sweet memory,
Like when things sometimes got hard,
And you were there for me.
I know you're always next to me,
Watching me everyday,
Sitting with that big old smile,
Making sure I'm safe.
And until my time comes,
When I'll once again be with you...
I'll just have to live my life,
And just do what I do...
And I'll never foregt you.
And until my time comes,
When I'll once again be with you...
I'll just have to live my life,
And just do what I do...
And I'll never forget you.

I will always remember Jerry, his kindness, thoughtfulness, and his interest in my life made me feel special. He always made sure I felt included in the family gatherings I was invited too. I will never forget his receptivity to me when he and I, and the Lord had our time of sharing that Saturday afternoon 05-13-06 3:17p.m.
I will miss Jerry but he leaves a legacy of the importance of "family ties." That's how I will remember Jerry

It was Jerry, and guys like him in the Photo Lab at NAS Sandpoint, that befriended me and made me a part of the crew. It was he and Sherm Blake's friendship that made me want to stay in the reserves and that led to a 42 year career. He was always there ready to help wether it was work or play, always ready with a new idea or suggestion. He will be missed by many.

Jerry was a good friend. We worked together in the egg business for many years. He sold Valley Fresh chicken and then eggs for Nest Best in Rochester before retirement. He was one who always had a bright and cheery heart. Always looking for that next great oportunity. He loved publishing and did make an impact on his Naval community and friends he was so proud of.
To Marge and Dennis, my heart goes out to you, God Bless you and your family.

Jerry was a long time friend with Dale that stared in the US Navy where both were photographers at Sandpoint NAS in Seattle. Dale often stopped at the Olympia Oyster House where Jerry had the cheff prepare oysters specifically to Dale's liking. Marge is a dear, sweet, and understanding woman who we admire with both of our hearts. Jerry was most fortunate to have all of you near to him and so loving to him all of his life.

I met Jerry and Marge through their daughter Sally whom I work with. I have not known them for very long but they are both great people. I know that both of them have instilled great values in their children. Jerry’s spirit will always live on in his daughter. His entrepreneurial spirit , go get‘em attitude and “git ‘er done” is a big part of who she is.
I will dearly miss Jerry, and our family lunches that I feel privileged to have been a part of at Paco’s Tacos, Applebee’s and Mason Jar, etc.
I will always remember the last time I saw him snuggled up in his blanket sitting in his chair with this “I just got away with something grin on his face”.
I will always honor his service to people of the United States of America as well as those he served in the city of Olympia. Everywhere he went people knew him. What a great legacy to have children that are successful and to have made a difference in so many people’s lives.

The Naval Photography community has lost a dear friend and staunch advocate. Jerry's tireless work to recognize the work of Sailors lives on in the form of the Walter Richardson award, which he was principally responsible for creating and sustaining. We will miss Jerry's enthusiasm and dedication. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Jerry was a very creative guy with a great sense of humor and an inate sense of entrepreneurship. They just don't make them like tht anymore!
