Obituary of Phylis Elaine Connelly

Phylis Elaine Connelly, 84, of Parkland, died Monday, January 3, 2005 in Tacoma. Mrs. Connelly was born November 16, 1920 in Greeley, Colorado to Harvey and Florence (Bokein) Moody. She graduated from high school in Southern California and later received her Associates of Arts Degree from Pierce College in Tacoma. Phylis was a secretary for the Washington State Department of Agriculture for most of her career. She played softball until she was sixty years old and also enjoyed bowling. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, TOPS Group, and the American Business Women’s Association. She also served on the Bethel School Board. Survivors include four sons, Donald, David, Jerry and Dennis Connelly; also one daughter, Jackie Calhoun. One son, Mike Connelly preceded her in death. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, January 15 at Don Connelly’s home, all are invited. The address is 626 South162nd in Spanaway.
