Obituary of Howard Campbell

Howard B. Campbell Howard B. Campbell was born on January 6th, 1936 and passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday September 28th, 2010 in Lacey Washington. Howard spent his childhood in Culver City California and Drain Oregon. After high school graduation he joined the Army Rangers and was stationed in Japan. Upon his return he enrolled and graduated from Pasadena Community College where he met his future wife of 51 years Barbara McDowell; and his lifelong best friend and brother Larry Blank. Howard and Barbara were married on May 16th 1959 in Alhambra California. Howard’s career centered in the industrial tool, building industries; and most recently as a cabinet designer. He was a loving husband and father, avid fisherman and loved tinkering with things. His hobbies included Pietenpol airplanes, antique restoration, list making and thinking up many crazy ideas . He is survived by his wife, Barbara Campbell; three sons, David, Gary and Brent; and daughter Lynda; three daughters-in-law Cynthia, Allison and April. He is also survived by three sisters, Charla Currier, Verna Dey and Donna Everts; brother, Mike Warner and nine grandchildren whom he loved very much. A graveside memorial service will be held at Yoncalla Masonic Cemetery in Yoncalla, Oregon on Friday October 22nd, at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Save the Children or St Jude’s Hospital.
