Today is the first time I have gone through the e-mail in over a month, as I was away for two weeks then became sick for a month. I'm sorry to hear of Grace's passing; but sure she is in a better place and that she isn't hurting any more. When our loved one is very sick it is almost a blessing when they are freed from the pain. We will always miss them and their memory will stay in our hearts and minds.

There has been many a chuck hole, but many happy times too. I apologize for my lack of expertize when I wrote the obituary. Grace loved her serviving children, grand children and Great Granddaughter very much, and they shoud have been included. Daughters, Faith and Charlene, Granddaughters Bailey and Michelle, Grandson Tavin and Great Granddaughter Kyra, who called Grace Nana.

My folks were so pleased to have known Grace and you, Charlie. They enjoyed the time you four spent together at Ocean Shores and all the laughs, the stories and the fun you shared over the years. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

My memories of Grace are only from when I was a child, but I will always remember Grace for her warmth and friendliness to me and my brother and sister when we visited, Grace's yummy, chunky five-star clam chowder, and for sharing her tender "oven-fried" razor clam recipe.

Grace is also survived by her two Daughters that loved her so much Faith and Charlene, Her three grandchildren Tavin Brough, Michelle Fowler and Bailey Elliott, Her great grandaughter Kyra Peterson. We all gathered in the last week of Moms life at My Sister Faith's home. Faith and Michelle took full charge in the final day and did an amazing job. We are so grateful to them both for the time of good-bye they helped us share.

Charlie,
You introduced me to Grace through the wonderful pictures of you and her in the gardens you loved and tended together. You also shared pictures of the beautiful bouquets you created for her over the last few years. I am glad to have seen the Hawaiian trip pictures recently. Seeing Grace in healthier times gave me a more rounded picture of her.
Yours was a love story of beauty and caring, tending to each other as you tended your gardens. You have been very fortunate to have had the life and years you had together. Let the happy memories help you through this time of sorrow.
You know I am here for you, a phone call or e-mail away.
Love,
Jodi

Although I never met Grace, I feel I knew her through correspondence with her husband, who served in the National Guard with my husband, Bill. From the emails I received from Charlie, I think Grace and I would have been good friends given the chance. I am sure she will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Charlie, I'll always remember the beautiful photographs you've sent me via email of your and Grace's garden. Grace knew how to pluck the beauty from life, and she was fortunate to have you to help her enjoy the things she could. I know it wasn't easy!

Chuck.....
As you know we have discussed the loss of a loved one, Grace was your life as whitnessed by the beautiful picture I just observed prior to Grace's guest book.
Chuck we all wished the best for your wife, however she's now with her Lord and Savior, she would not have wanted to live the life she had these past few day's/weeks.......
Chuck my thoughts and prayers are with you and Grace during this time.........
"Keep the faith Charlie".
