Obituary of Richard L. Bond

Rick left us suddenly on October 21, 2005. He was a resident of Olympia for fifty-three years with the exception of a 3-year tour in Vietnam as a Navy SeaBee. He was an employee of DSHS and at one time enjoyed being named Employee of the Year. Rick is survived by his son, Jeff Bond (Pam); his daughter, Kari Veltri (Joey); and his four grandchildren. Rick is also survived by his sister, Jackie Palmer and her husband, Mike McGee; stepmother, Eileen Bond; stepbrother Chris Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews. He so loved us all. An informal gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Jeff & Pam Bond, 4442 Schincke Rd. N.E., Olympia, (360)918-8015.
