Baby, I miss you so much. You were my whole life and I can't believe that you are gone from it. I am trying to be strong for our children and grandchildren but inside I'm broken. We had so many plans of things we still wanted to do and places to go. I know you wanted to leave your mark on this world by setting the Bonneville World Record with your little Buell Blast and building the Transformer car. Baby you had left your mark but you just didn't know it. You touched so many people's lives and they too are missing you. I am so proud of the man you were and the memories that you gave me. You were an awesome husband, father and grandfather. The legacy you left were all these parts of you and me. Please watch over me and help me make good choices in guiding them in lives as good and rich as yours was. I will love you forever and ever!

Bob was my neighbor for over 15 years. A finer neighbor could not be found. Once my son Cody stirred up a ground-bee's nest and was screaming bloody murder! Bob came crashing through the woods ready to take on whatever was happening. Thank you Bob for everything over those great years when Brandi and my kids were growing up. And how you put up with Greg's crazy shenanigans, I'll never know. Love to you you all, Tanya, Laurie, Brandi. Bob was simply amazing.

I have known Bob for approx 7 years, and was looking forward to more years. As my husband Jay stated below we are still hoping to wake up and this all have been a dream. When I first met Bob at his house and saw his office my first thoughts were wow what a pack rat! Until i had the pleasure seeing the beautiful art he crafted. I will also support the family through out this ordeal. Love Jamie

Sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. I remember him when I went to Crawford with his sister Linda, she was in the click of kids we all ran around with. I will miss him cruising El Cajon Blvd. In his roadster. I had a 40' Ford coupe and we all ran up and down The Blvd. He will be missed. I became a Prowler Car Club Member in 1965.

Bob was a quiet & polite man. We lived across the street from each other on Lea Street & with his sister & parents - they all made a nice addition to the neighborhood. Even back then you could see his life was going to be cars. I know he will be missed.

The world has lost the most talented hotrodder and creative artist I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and heaven has gained an asset. Although there were many, many years between the time (1964) we first met while in the USAF and the recent re-establishment of our friendship (2000 - thanks, Tanya), I've always valued those periods when we were together because Bob had an inspirational spirit as well as making those moments memorable with fun and laughter. What a wonderful human being to have known!! Thanks, Bob, for the "bitchen" times and memories. You're forever a "CQQL" part of us... ride on, Dude!

We can not put in word's how much we both loved Bob (Mr. Weld).
The most talented, humble friend we have ever had the honor to call "friend". I know that my p/u well always try to turn up his driveway when going to coming from town to see what "cool" project he is working on. We both will never forget how fortunate we were to know and been friends with him and his family.
We will always be there for you Tanya, Lorrea, Clint and family.

I knew Bob for about 7 years maybe more and I am still wanting to wake up and this all be a dream, he is such a fine man that gave so much and still had so much to give. I was in his shop today helping his son Clint (my best bud) put Bob's roadster back together and his shop just seemed so empty. I will miss Bob and I will be there to help Tanya, Clint, and the entire family get things finished that Bob wanted too finish himself.

There were a lot of miles between us and the times we had together were few the last 46 years but you were and still are the best friend I ever had. The two visits I had with you in Washington and the four years we spent together in the Air Force were " Bitchen". I am so proud to have been a part of your life.

Tanya and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that this will be one of the most difficult times in your life. But just know that you will be surrounded by many people who will help you get through it. I wish I could be there to sit with you on lonely nights and hug you when you need a shoulder, but I am unfortunately far from you. I do know that you can call me anytime day OR night and I will be there for you. I will message you my number. Bob was and will always be one of the most memorable people that I have met on the salt. Willie and I both loved and admired Bob for who he was. I am sure that those two are already finishing up their first streamliner getting ready to run down the clouds. God bless you Tanya and the family too. He will be sorely missed every day.

Over 20 years ago we met Bob and Tanya. After meeting them they became instant friends with so many shared stories, shared trips and shared fun. Those will all be cherrished memories for sure.
We went to a car show in Lynden and it was Bob's Birthday so Bob and Tanya went to Canada. After they came back Bob said that it was one of the best Birthday presents ever to be able to go to another country for his birthday.
We were always in awe of Bob's works of Art and even so very glad when he offered some for sale at the mild to wild show so we could be the proud owners of a few of his works.
Bob's love and dedication to his family and his very kind and happy way is a way of life to aspire to. Bob had a way of uplifting and inspiring us to do what we dream of.
We will think about Bob often with a gleam in our hearts as he made the world a better place to be. We are lucky to have known him as friend.
Tanya...... Love to you and the family during this very difficult time.

There really are no words to describe how much we will miss Bob, but he will never be forgotten by Duke and I. Duke said he was the smartest most talented guy he ever met..I just loved his great sense of humor and to see how much he loved his wife and family. We know we will see him again but its sure going to be less fun until then. He helped Duke so much after his stroke, showed him he could still weld and work on a car. I hope your family get some sense of peace from the knowledge that so many people loved him and thought the world of Bob, he was one of a kind and lived life to the fullest. You were blessed to have him and we were blessed to have known him. Bob was a man of integrity and honor, we need more like him. God Bless you Bob, we miss you.........

Bob was and "still" is,.. in my mind.. one of the neatest ("Bitchenest") Men I've ever met.. I remember.. I bought a project "T" Bucket.. he came over to see what I bought.. I'm going to need welding done on the custom frame I said.. I wrote a check for $500 and handed it to him, he said, what's this for.. I said to do the welding I will need.. he said.. NO.. you keep it.. if you need welding you get ahold of me.. later he told me what I needed to do and I welded it up myself.. another time I was clearing the garage.. I had a vintage tank with vintage '60's paint and pinstripping.. I offered it to him as it was an Awesome piece of "Old Nostalgia" vintage '60's era.. he would not take it.. because he said.. No, you keep it.. it's bitchen and you need to keep it.. it's a work of Art!! Bob was/is a Special Man.. But I'm Blessed.. because now that he's where he is.. I know I'll see him again and he'll say.. "Hey man.. This Place is Bitchen"!! "Welcome"!! I'll never say.. RIP.. because if you know Bob.. he doesn't Rest!!! :)=)
