Dear family of Lois,
I can't tell you how much Lois meant to me and us, Gordon & I. We met when I worked at the License Dept. in 1952. We were both "key-punch operators" and when we started I didn't even know what a key-punch machine was for. (maybe to make keys?
Anway, that lasted for 5 years and then I left and went to the Brewery. When an opening came up I recommended her and Bev Mertens. We became the "three musketeers" and had more fun than you can imagine. Then we added Georgia Bergh and we became the"license dept. rejects".
My family was just a little behind her and I used to ask her advise about everything, because chances are she'd already gone through it. Life with Lois and Fred was wonderful. I will never forget her and will always love her memory . She was my mentor, my friend and my buddy. I never heard her say a bad thing about everyone. When heaven's gate opens I'm sure she will be there and I only hope we will be there, too. God bless all of you.

Hello to you all... I am so sorry for your loss. Many of my childhood memories, around our house in Tumwater, include Lois. I always picture her as being very kind and positive. She was so much fun. To this day, when I think of a Husky fan, I think of her. Lois and Fred both were wonderful, extraordinary people. She will be missed.

I knew Lois and family all of my life from the time I was one she lived next to my folks and baby sat us. All of my life Lois was a very special person. One who was always kind and loving, always giving of herself. I remember when they lived off of Eastside street and going to her house a smelling the fresh bread rising and having just a "little" pinch off the dough. Lois and Fred and family were friends of our family for 60 years and we loved them both. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Our Love to you and your family
Cathy

I was sorry to hear that Lois had died when I read the paper today. My memories of her are many. One in particular was camping with my Mom and Lois and Fred at Westport. Seems like they dropped us kids off at the grange for some teen dance. Also, when I was in highschool I went with my Mom and Lois and others to see a musical in downtown Oly. That was a big event! Lois was a great friend to my Mom. Keep your good memories of her with you always. See you all on the 25th.
