I am saddened to learn of Rudy's passing. I enjoyed working with him and Emil back in my Orofino days. I am disappointed that we didn't know you had relocated to Yelm, just 20 miles from our home in Olympia. We learned of Rudy's illness about two years ago when we crossed trails with Diane Rodakowski in Coeur d'Alene. He will be missed.

Cathie, Jamie, Suzanne and kids, Wade and Lisa and kids, and to all our family,
When I first met Rudy it was before Cathie came home and met him. I think Rudy was on leave from the Navy. I knew right away that he was a very special person, and sure enough, when he became my brother, I was right. Rudy was such a wonderful husband, father, brother, son to our parents, especially our Mom, and best friend. He was always taking care of others, always helping everyone. He loved the outdoors and was a wizard with landscaping and building. I have too many wonderful memories to count and treasure every minute that we could spend together. We are all so very blessed to have had him in our lives. He will never be forgotten and his love and devotion to all of his family will always be within each of us. To my wonderful sis Cathie, I hope you are doing alright. I will call you soon. Love, Cheryl

I graduated with Rudy from Borah High in 1964. I remember him as a very nice, unassuming guy who was a good athlete and a true straight shooter. It is sad I didn't take the time to keep up with, and in contact with, my classmates. He was a good man and is gone too soon. My heart goes out to the family. Terry

I was so shocked to read of Rudy's death in the Boise paper. The memories of the wonderful times our families shared has always held a very special place in my heart. Although we have not been in touch for many years, I often think of the wonderful spirit you both have and the genuine love you show people always. Even tho there were times when I know we drove you nuts, you were always gracious. I still remember Rudy's wonderful sense of humor and even some of those exact comical lines he could throw out at a moments notice. They still make me laugh.
You truly were a life saver for me when you introduced me to the sorority while in Orofino. Thank you again for that.
Please accept my sincere sympathy and wishes of good health for you and your boys until you are with Rudy again.

Cathie, Wade & Jamie--My mom (Cathy Turner Jenni) and I send our sympathies. We had heard Rudy was ill and are so sorry he has passed away. I will always remember your log home on the hill in Orofino. Rudy was always one of those people in town that was a well respected parent, church and community member, and we will remember him as that. Every time I drive through Battleground I wonder how Wade is doing. I had no idea you were living in Yelm--such a small world--my husband and I have lived in Rainier, WA for 5 years. Please let me know if there is anything I can do, I am just a few short miles away. I have known Rudy since moving to Idaho over 25 years ago. I met him when I managed Columbia Paint. It didn't take very long for us to become friends as Rudy was one of those genuine nice guy's, easy to know and easy to like.
Since retirement I've gone on to work for the American Cancer Society, Cnacer Resource Center at St. Joseph's in Lewiston. it is there that I recently saw Rudy. I'm so glad I had the chance to see him and shake his hand one last time. God speed Rudy, I am glad that I was your friend.

Dear Cathy: I was just reading the Orofino newspaper and read about the passing of Rudy. I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know you and Rudy very well, but I feel a part of Orofino will always be in my heart. I remember you two from Orofino and the two boys were about 8 years younger than me. My mother is Frances that used to work at the Ponderosa and then at the Forest Service. I have known for a long time that your son lives close by (in Battle Ground) and always hoped to run into him at the grocery store, not really knowing if I would recognize him (Wade) and it has been so many years since I have seen anyone. I did meet someone the other day that knows Wade - Steve Campbell that works at Pacific Marine Fisheries. I can't imagine that your son and his family would need anything, but I would help with anything if I could. I think that is the helpful "Idaho" that is in all of us. (360) 666-5797. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
