Doug, Carol and Family,
We are so saddened by Doug, Jrs. .passing and will forever remember him with his special smile and spirit. He had so many
challenges in his short life and was fortunate to have such loving and supportive family. I am sure he and Stephanie had a
great reunion and are discussing the Mariners right now. While we miss them both so desperately, we know they are now
forever whole and pain free. He had such a good and giving heart and always worrying about others instead of himself. We
love you all and join in your sorrow. We know the grieving process is difficult and individual and also know that God is here
to help us through with his promises. Also, what has helped me is the saying,” grieve not long for he is gone, but rejoice forever that he lived.” Dougie will forever be in our hearts! Love you guys.

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed my occasional chats with Doug Jr. when I came to the house. He had a good heart and I know he is in heaven now doing some fishing, playing some cards or riding his bike, and smiling down on his family.

My deepest condolences to my family who live in the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen! My memories of my cousin Dougie warms my heart and puts a smile so big upon my face. One of my many special memories that stand out is his huge smile when we came to visit and the warm hugs he always freely gave away. God sure did bless us with a cousin who changed the world with that special smile!
May the warm loving memories stay within your heart. As for I also know my sister in heaven greeted him with loving hands and welcomed him into heaven and they both walk with Jesus. My love and prayers to all!

Doug & Carol, I am sorry for your loss, it was such a pleasure to see how much fun Doug Jr. had when we had the garage sale for Dave at your house that year, all my thoughts go out to you all at this time of loss, but we must also take time to think of all the happy times and smiles Doug Jr. brought to those who knew him. Rest in Peace and walk with God now.

There are many memories that come to mind when thinking of Dougie. The time when the family visited us in California when he was a small child and sat and played in the play pen with his cousin Katrina (same age born same month just 12 days later) and his brother and sisters played with his cousin Mike (who was also born on Feb 5th, 4 years earlier), to the way his eyes lit up when he received lotto tickets and won after scratching them. To the fun he had going fishing with his Dad. Thru all he went through he was oh so happy due to the wonderful loving parents he had and brother and sisters who took such good care of him. Thinking of the entire family and will think of Dougie often in the years to come. All my love, Aunt Sandy

Steve and Becky; I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s always hard to accept the passing of a loved one, but when its a special person it’s even harder. Lynnette and Doug were at Morningside together and at Capital High School. Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.

There is one thing that I forgot to mention that I hold very dear to my heart… at night before Dougie would go to sleep he would hold hands with his Mom and I and would say his prayers, when we were finished he would ask for his little Bible and he would fall asleep holding on to it….how so very special this was to me and I thank God for time spent with Dougie

So many “special” memories of Dougie…God had opened a door and thanks to Stephan and Bob, I was able to visit on September 3rd of this year.We were watching the first Seahawks game on TV,during the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, his hand went to his heart and he repeated every single word, what a dedicated fan he was and you would have thought there were a hundred people there due to all the cheering, there were only three of us there. Another special moment is when he was sitting at the dining room table with his Mom, I was standing outside at the window waving and blowing kisses at him, and he would wave and blow kisses back to me.What a awesome family he had, he so loved his Mom and Dad ,Peggy, Lisa, Shellee and Steve and their spouses and other family members. When we spoke of them, his eyes would light up and the love he had for each and every one of you was so obvious. He was a kind hearted young man and loved everyone. He only was that way because the love of his family was so very deep and real .Uncle Bob and I will miss him. Thanking God every day for all the wonderful memories we hold dear to our hearts. All our love, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you.
