I enjoyed Doug and his family for years. I especially enjoyed seeing him at the garage sales and flea marts, we always had a visit and shared stories about the “treasures” we had found. My thoughts go to the family, as he loved each of you very much.

Not sure what people post on these but wanted to share a special memory I have of Doug. Years ago in my younger days, Iva and I were out somewhere in McCleary with Doug there and he took the time to teach me to dance a waltz. In spite of my clumsiness, he waltzed me around the dance floor and was very patient with my clumsiness! Of course he was so smooth and danced perfectly…. Doug was always my ideal image of what a father should be and you Stewart girls were very lucky. I know he loved his family very much and it showed.

How do you put into words how much love you could have for someone. My father, Harold Stewart was such an amazing man. He lived through difficult times when putting food on the table was a priority. He loved his family and worked hard. He taught his children to work hard and be respectful. We will miss him everyday. God Bless you dad, I love you..
