Dear Family and friends: Losing someone in life is not easy, and I know it makes you feel weaker, but indeed, God does use the bad for good. Satan doesn’t have his way. Oh no!
Plant something for me in memory of her, please? Perhaps a rose bush without thorns. I remember interpreting at Bow Lake for several years, watching her grow, and because of her wonderful parents she had grown into a beautiful woman of God. You friends made an impact in her life as well. Thank you for making her who she became. She is, thankfully, just in a stage of her life, and not gone, but awaiting our arrival to see her again someday. Patience, Lord, patience! =) Thank you.

Chris, you are missed so very much. You are the sister I never had. We shared so many happy memories. We shared our fears, our worries, our happiness, our laughter, our days and our lives. We fought like sisters and we loved like sisters. Your big smile and warm hug filled our hearts. It’s hard to go from seeing you almost daily to not seeing you for a week now. I’m so sad, empty, still numb. I smile only when I think of you looking down on us. I know you are happy and safe now. As you can see you were loved more than even you knew. As time heals us I hope you are proud of us for how we will keep your memory alive in all we do. I love you and miss you greatly. Your sister!

I remember those two little blondes dashing around at church. They were like lightening, understanding each other totally, but ignoring everyone else! What bundles of energy – so happy! The family moved away while the girls were small and in later years we knew they had grown up and were doing well, but we have learned more about Chrissie through reading her story here – so lovingly written by a heart-broken older sister. Now I know the rest of her story. I’m sorry it ended this way, but it was a life well-lived and she was loved by so many. Rest in peace with God, Chrissie.

It was an honor to be a teacher to Delyn during her Kindergarten and first grade years. I always enjoyed meeting with Chris and Aaron at conferences and other meetings, as they were always so supportive of both Delyn and our staff. They always came with smiles and a great sense of humor. Chris truly was an amazing mother. I have so much respect and admiration for her. I feel lucky to have gotten to know her and her wonderful family, even if it was just a little bit.
