Guess I didn’t realize until now Patrician used this Funeral Alternatives venue. Unfortunately, I was out of town for her funeral, but I was definitely thinking of her. She truly loved her family and was especially delighted with her Grandkids.
Patricia was the oldest of the 11 first cousins and I was the youngest, the same age as her oldest, Bud. Since my Mom and Aunt Liz (her Mom) were sisters and we lived next door, us cousins spent a great deal of time together. Over sixty years of memories of parties, picnics and other family gatherings. Now she is enjoying life after death with her parents, sister Dona, and now her beloved husband, Roy—and they are all in a better place so we should cherish their memories.

Growing up right next door to my Aunt Pat entire life was such a blessing. We have shared countless special moments and some crazy fun times as well.
My Aunt Pat had a love for her family that was simply amazing. She loved her flowers. Her back porch was always full with the most beautiful Fuchsia baskets. She also truly loved her little animals. Aunt Pat was just full of love and she shared it freely, which is such a gift. I know that God blessed all of us by putting her in our lives. For that I am forever grateful.
As a little girl I would spend a ton of time running back and forth from my house to my Aunt’s house – mostly to bug my three cousins; Bud, Sis, and Debbie. But my Aunt Pat was always there with a big smile to welcome me in. Of course I didn’t plan this, but a lot of the time she would be cooking so I would conveniently compare what they were having at the Rossow home to what I was having at my house to see where I would be having dinner. I was one lucky young lady to have two homes, two families, and my choice of great meals. They had a lot of chicken at the Rossow home which I love, but as I grow older I think it may have been rabbit, not chicken, as my Uncle Roy raised rabbit to eat. Back then I thought those rabbits were his pets. Just thinking about all the old times puts a smile on my face and in my heart.
Last week, when the snow started to fall, I was reminded of another great memory I have. When we were young, there was on year when we had a ton of snow. We made this amazing sledding run behind our house. The entire family was there for days; Bud, Sissy, Debbie, Mark, Mike, Jeff and myself and my brother Dana sledding and have an amazing time. I can remember my Aunt Pat saying as we were sledding passed her down the hill into the road, “Make sure you watch out for cars!” We all laughed as the cars could hardly get down the road with the 24 inches snow.
My Aunt Pat had a crazy love for antiques. Her home was filled with beautiful furniture, vases, and lamps. I would talk to my friends about my aunt’s museum. I would tease her all the time that there was no place to sit in her house. She created such a loving and wonderful home, even if it was the best museum in town.
One of the joys of living a long and happy, life is being able to watch all of her Children, Grandchildren, nieces and nephews grow up into amazing individuals. I know she was proud of each and every one of us. I have so many wonderful memories; it is hard for me to only share a few as I could literally talk for days about Aunt Pat. I think that the most wonderful thing about Aunt Pat is her love for family. The times she spent with her family were the most important to her; in the early days at my Nanny’s house on the lake, the parties at my Aunt Jonnies, to the party’s at my Mommy’s house. My Aunt simply loved to spend time with her family that she loved so much.
When it came to her husband Roy, there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for him. Their love, their marriage, and their life together, are a true example of what love should be – together forever! Always happy and completely grateful for each and every day that they had together. I wish for all of us that we are blessed in our lives with this kind of love.
Just like all of you, I cherish every moment I had with Aunt Pat. I love her and will miss her dearly, but am also so incredibly happy for her as she is now resting safely within the arms of her heavenly father.

Our hearts go out to all of Pat’s family who will be missing her so much. Her generous, all-encompassing heart endeared her to all who knew her. We will miss her, but thankfully there will be a glorious reunion One Day in heaven. May that knowledge bring comfort and peace to those closest to her. God bless you all.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all the Rossow family. Pat was a very kind person to me. She always treated me with the utmost respect even thought I was not part of the family.

Prayers to the family. Roy and Pat’s home was my home away from home. When I ran away from home I ran to their house. Missing all the old times, but glad Pat will be in a better place than we are. Rest in peace mom.
