Obituary of Patricia May Morrow Rossow Birth: Death: Service Information: Please leave memories of Pat or condolences for the family in the Guestbook below.

Pat was born to Dana and Elizabeth Morrow on March 13, 1931 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington, older sister to Betty (“Johnny”) and Dona. Growing up, Pat mothered her sisters, made sure they were “proper” girls, and forged lifelong relationships with those fortunate enough to be her friends. Soon after graduating from Olympia High School in 1949, Pat went to a dance at Tropic Ballroom with a date but was courted away by a handsome young United States Navy gunner, Roy Sidney Rossow, whom she married in 1950. Ever an industrious woman, Pat began working at the Department of Social and Health Services soon after she got married. However, due to her commitment to her family, she left her career when she and Roy welcomed their firstborn, Dana (“Bud”) in 1951. Bud was soon followed by his sister, Denise (“Sissy”) in 1953, and two years later by Debra (“Debbie”), who rounded out the Rossow brood. Although Pat returned to work from time to time with various Washington State agencies, she always made sure to take the time she needed to be there for her children and her extended family. Pat’s adoration for her family grew, as did the family itself. Bud married Nancy and they brought Valerie, Ron, and Dana into the fold; Sissy had Amanda and Aaron; Debbie had Christopher, and later married Craig. Many of Pat’s grandchildren brought even more joy to the Rossow family with children of their own. All in all, she had eight great grandchildren, who made her eyes sparkle whenever she talked of them with pride. Besides her dedication to taking care of her family and friends, Pat was a devoted lifelong member of Lacey Baptist Chapel. Additionally, she shared her love with her pets, Mika and Ellie, who brought her as much joy as gardening, antiques, and reading. Pat passed away February 7, 2014. Her love is infinite; it will always to be felt by all those that she touched and give us strength as we continue on our journey until we see her again in heaven.
