Dolores made the world a better place.
I had the honor and pleasure of working with Dolores at the Washington State House of Representatives for more than a decade. She was always smiling and welcoming in a reassuring way. Her demeanor would set the tone of the workplace. Her positive presence was an inspiration to those of us who worked with her.
Customer service and personal excellence were her trademarks. She took pride in her work. She had advanced computer skills before the era of the internet.
Relationships were personal with Dolores. She always asked about and had an interest in my family and truly cared about what was happening in their lives.
Dolores is unforgettable to me: Primarily because she gave me memories that more often than not ended up being lessons in life. I learned from her. She exemplified compassion, fairness, patience and humility.
She had a good sense of humor. She always made me laugh when telling stories about her childhood growing up in Mc Cleary and Elma, the daughter of Italian immigrants.
Dolores had an old country touch when it came to preparing Italian cuisine. I always left her home full of the best ever homemade ravioli but more importantly with a fuller appreciation for life and our friendship.
Dolores made the world a better place.

I worked with Dolores in the late 70s and early 80s at OPR. Our desks were right next to each other until I moved to the Ways and Means Committee. I still saw her at least once a year when I’d visit my dad and his wife, Loren and Carol Gregory. We exchanged Christmas cards every year, including this year. I will miss her very much, as she was such a sweetheart. She had many friends from OPR and would have some of them over to dinner every year. Love you, Dolores. Vicki

I never met your mom but she made great almond roca, took great care of you and from what I’ve heard about her she sounded like one of the strongest women. I would of liked to meet her. I’m sorry for your loss.
