Obituary of Charles Garcia

Charles “Carlos” Garcia Jr. died on September 10, 2013 in Lacey, Washington. Carlos was born on February 9, 1937 in Billings, Montana to Charles Garcia, Sr. and Cesaria Soto Garcia, Sr. Carlos was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and worked for the State of Washington for 20 years prior to his retirement. Carlos had several interests but his most passionate was bowling. He was a dedicated bowler early in life winning several trophies and later in life he achieved several 300 games in addition to winning several medals at the local Senior Olympic Games. Although he was a quite reserved man, Carlos was known for his ability to make friends with his beautiful smile and charm. He will always be in our thoughts with fondness. Carlos is survived by a wife, Isabel Garcia; daughter, Cecilia Garcia (Ashley) and two grandchildren; along with several brothers and sisters, Joseph Garcia (Kathy), Dorothy Spencer, Maria Zamarripa (Zammie), Richard Garcia, Paul Garcia, Carmen Garcia, Monica Bowersox (Cal) in addition to several nieces, nephews and family all over the world. His parents, two sisters Julia Garcia and Jenny Garcia and two sons precede him in death. Memorial donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America in Carlos’ name. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Doctor Jason Davis and his team that cared for him prior to his transition to Hospice care; and Assured Home Hospice for the wonderful care that Carlos received.
