Jack Pavletich posted a condolence

My Dad as a young boy would catch fish on Chehalis River to sell for bait and peeled cascara bark for money. He grew up going to the Columbia River where his mother Jewel Elliott's family had salmon seining grounds; he spoke magically of this place. He was a skilled fisherman that won a boat and motor at the Lake Quinault trout derby in 1985. He was a dead eye shot and tagged his dear and elk both for many years in a row. He went Canada to hunt moose in the 1960's and talked about that often. He was a Genius that could fix anything, often making parts for guns or antiques that Mom brought home. Dad retired at 55 and fished at Westport and always put us on the fish. He had a yacht and boathouse in Shelton for many years, traveling around Puget sound with his kids and friends. My dad taught me everything I know. I'm very grateful Dad. Rest in peace my friend. Love, Jack
