Obituary of Ann Patrice Walker

Ann Patrice Walker, 72, passed away of bladder cancer on May 26, 2019 in Seattle, Washington.  She was born June 25, 1946 to Alfred and Betty Ann Herman in Portland, Oregon.  She was an Olympia, Washington resident for more than 45 years.

 

Ann graduated from Lakes High School in 1964.  She worked as a secretary for the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office from 1979 to 2008, serving under three sheriffs. 

 

Ann was loving, generous, independent, caring, adventurous, and family-oriented.  She was passionate about volunteering, and served with several organizations over the years.  She loved the beach and the ocean, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.

 

Ann is survived by her son, Mike Walker of Puyallup, Washington; daughter, Susan Bird, and husband Frank of Lacey, Washington; five grandchildren; brother, William Herman of Kent, Washington; and niece, Dawn Lucero of Great Falls, Montana.  She was predeceased by her parents.

 

There will be a private family memorial.
