Ann was one of my favorite co-workers working for TCSO so, I was sad to hear she was retiring in 2008. We had spent 25 years together working together so, she was like my extended family. I was even more sad to hear she has now passed. Ann was fun to be around both at work and play. May warm memories of her get all of you through this sad time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked in Detectives for many years and Ann was one of our secretaries. Ann was almost always happy and cheery. She had a unforgetable laugh. I always enjoyed visiting with her and she made the office a happy place, as much as she could. I remember one time when she had typed a report for me and she spell Washngton, WARSHINGTON. I went out to her desk and asked her why she spelled it that way and she said "because that's the way you said it and I'm suppose to type what I hear." I said Ididn't want it spelled that way in my report and told me to say it right then. Actually we had a few words over that and I asked her to say Washington, she pronouced it WARSHINGTON. We both laughed and she said from now on she'd spell it right for me. She was a fun loving person and will be missed by all that knew her. I know I will miss her.

Ann was my friend, coworker, and the best backup I ever had while working at the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. I have so many fond memories of good times we had both at work and outside of work and of the crazy things she said and did over the years. She had an infectious laugh, and everyone knew it was her when we'd hear her laughter. She loved life, her family, and her friends. She may not know it, but she definitely left her footprint here. I will never forget her.

Our lives are so blessed by having been touched by Ann. She hired me at the sheriff's office almost 22 years ago and we became fast friends. Her laugh in the office is forever remembered. Her exclamation of "What?" could be heard down the halls and make you giggle. Her file of things she wanted to do, places she wanted to see, made me remember to always have goals for something fun to do. She introduced me to the Bayview In The Kitchen cooking classes where we met our friend Barb and got involved in benefits for the PEO Y chapter. We had something going on every month to stay in touch and to nurture our friendship. She loved celebrating others, even brought a birthday party to my house one evening. She was a wild and crazy lady at times, but ever compassionate and caring. We made a plan for each year doing an organized tour in Seattle, either for food or other ventures. I will miss her with all my heart. I will never read another Debbie Macomber without thinking she's there sharing the story with me. My heart has a huge empty spot. I can only imagine others who love her feel the same.

I am so so sorry for your loss. She will never really be gone as she lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Time is our great healer, and in time there is less pain. She is at peace now and looking down with love at all those she loves and she wants you to be able to live your lives as fully as she did. God bless you all.

Ann was a bright light that glowed through her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. I absolutely loved watching Seahawks games with her! She will be missed so much!
