Jerry and I began working together for the State of Washington in 1968. He was one of the state planning guys who came to Washington from all parts of country to work for Governor Evans. After a few years we moved to different agencies, But I always stayed in contact with Jerry. I transferred to the Dept of Natural Resources and he soon followed, He was a great guy and a good friend. We had good times a lots of laughs. He'll be missed by many.

I had the great fortune to meet Jerry and work with him several times as FEMA reservists. His great sense of humor was contagious.
Working for FEMA can be difficult, but Jerry always made it so much fun. Jerry and I worked together as hazard mitigation plan reviewers and as floodplain specialists in several disasters all across the country. I really looked forward to traveling wherever FEMA needed my services if I knew Jerry would be there too.
My sympathies to Carrol and Jerry's family.

Jerry and I were both born in Great Falls Montana and as we both worked for the Department of Natural Resources. He would stop by the Olympia Airport. He loved airplanes and helicopters. During his visits we would share stories. He was a kind and genital man and will be missed.

Jerry, "the Prober" as we called him, was a kind and generous man. He was a dear friend for 40 years and a neighbor for 20 years. I have so many great memories of his exuberant and friendly demeanor. I will miss his smile, his jokes, and his enthusiasm for life. Love to Carrol.

Jerry was one of a kind. We were Co-workers at DNR during some stressful times. Jerry’s sense of humor and just general way of approaching life was a God send to me. Carol, he always reminded me that Friday night was movie night with Carol.
